May Jameson Pequita, 83, of Punta Gorda passed away June 21, 2010. She was a coal miner's daughter to August and Adeline (Noyack) Greenwaldt, born May 22, 1927 in Shenandoah, PA. After graduating from West Mahoney High School, May and her cousin left to pursue a better life in Hartford, Ct. May married Clayton Leonard Jameson in 1946 and raised four children, one nephew and cared for numerous foster children. She worked for Connecticut General and had a career with The Hartford Insurance Company, breaking ground for others by becoming a Certified Professional Secretary and an Actuarial Administrator before retiring in 1986. In 1986 she married Antone Pequita and they moved to Boca Raton and later to Pinellas Park, FL.
May will be greatly missed by her daughter, Linda (Rick) O'Bannon, sons, Scott (Lisa) Jameson, Paul (Debra) Jameson, Russell Jameson; step-son Robert (Toni) Pequita; grandchildren, Scott (Rebecca) Jameson, Ryan Jameson, Kristofer Jameson, Kyle and Eric Jameson; step-grandchildren, Rick O'Bannon, Stephen (Lisa) Pequita and Daniel (Allison) Pequita; sister, Lillian St. Cyr and a brother, John Greenwaldt. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clayton Jameson and second Antone Pequita
